Our New Website: What's Changed and Why

If you've visited clevercookie.uk recently, you might have noticed things look a little different. That's because we've completely rebuilt the website from scratch. Every page, every feature, every tiny detail — all brand new. It's been months of work behind the scenes, and I'm really pleased to finally share it with you. The old site served us well, but as Clever Cookie has grown, we needed something that could keep up with where we're heading.

The important thing to say upfront is this: the cookies haven't changed. Same recipes, same quality, same freshly baked goodness. What has changed is the experience of browsing, choosing, and ordering them. Everything about the new site has been designed to make your life easier — whether you're a long-time customer who orders every week or someone discovering us for the first time. Let me walk you through the biggest changes.

A Cleaner Look That Works on Any Device

The new design is cleaner, brighter, and much easier on the eyes. We stripped everything back and rebuilt the layout with one goal in mind: put the cookies front and centre. No clutter, no distractions — just beautiful product photography and clear information where you need it. The whole site feels more modern and more like Clever Cookie as a brand.

More importantly, it works properly on every device. Whether you're browsing on your phone during a lunch break, on a tablet on the sofa, or on a desktop at work (we won't judge), the site adapts perfectly. Pages load faster, images look sharper, and getting around is far more intuitive. We know most of our customers shop on their phones, so we've paid extra attention to making sure that experience is brilliant.

Products, Better Organised

One of the biggest improvements is how our products are organised. On the old site, finding exactly what you were after could be a bit of a treasure hunt. Now, everything is sorted into clear collections — Deep Dish Cookies, Cookie Pies, Cookie Bars, Classic Cookies, Loaded Cookies, and more. If you know what type of cookie you're in the mood for, you can jump straight to the right collection and browse from there.

We've also added sorting options so you can arrange products by price or name, and there's a proper search feature now too. Looking for something specific? Just type it in and you'll find it straight away. No more scrolling through pages hoping to spot what you want.

On the product pages themselves, we've made it much easier to switch between variants. If a product comes as a slice or as a whole, you can flick between the two options right there on the page without hunting around. Try it out on the Deep Dish Biscoff or the Classic Cookie Brown Butter — you'll see exactly what I mean.

Build Your Own Cookie Box

This is one of the features I'm most excited about. The Box Builder lets you mix and match any cookies into a single box. Pick your box size, choose your favourite flavours, and we'll pack them all together for you. Want two Deep Dish Biscoffs, a Cookie Pie, and a couple of Loaded Cookies? Go for it. The choice is entirely yours.

It's perfect for gifts — you can put together a box tailored to someone's tastes rather than choosing a pre-set selection. It's also great if you just want to try a bit of everything without committing to a full box of one flavour. The Box Builder has been one of our most requested features, and we're really happy with how it turned out.

Real Reviews From Real Customers

We've added customer reviews to the website, and this is a big deal for us. You can now read what other people think about a product before you buy it. We've got over 900 verified reviews from real customers, and they're all there for you to browse. Whether you want to know if the Kinder Bueno Cookie Pie lives up to the hype or what people think of our Classic range, the answers are right there on the product page.

Nothing is hidden or filtered. You'll see the good, the honest, all of it. We're proud of what we bake, and we want you to have the full picture before you order. We think the reviews speak for themselves — but don't just take our word for it. Have a read and see what you think.

Save Your Favourites

Found something you love? Hit the heart icon and save it to your favourites. It's a small feature but a really useful one. Next time you visit the site, your saved products are right there waiting for you — no need to search for them again. It makes reordering your go-to cookies quick and easy.

If you're anything like some of our regulars who have a rotation of favourites they cycle through each week, this feature is going to save you a lot of time. Just open your favourites, add to basket, and you're done.

Better Ingredient and Allergen Information

This one is really important to us. We've completely reworked how we display ingredient and allergen information on the site. Allergens are now tracked at an ingredient level, which means you can see exactly what's in each product and where potential allergens come from. It's far more detailed than what we had before, and it's presented in a much simpler, clearer layout.

If you have dietary requirements or allergies, this makes it so much easier to find what's safe for you. We know how stressful it can be trying to work out whether something contains a particular ingredient, and we wanted to take the guesswork out of it completely. Every product page now has clear, accurate allergen information you can trust.

TikTok Shop Improvements

If you follow us on TikTok, you'll be pleased to know that the majority of our products are now available on TikTok Shop whereas before we had a limited range. We've built a much better sync between our website and TikTok, which means stock levels are accurate and the range is far wider than it used to be. Same quality, same freshly baked cookies, just another way to order if that's where you like to shop.

Some of our most popular products like the Cookie Pie Kinder Bueno are available there now. Whether you find us through a video or just want to grab something quickly through the app, TikTok Shop is a great option.

What's Coming Next

The new website is just the beginning. We've got plenty more planned and we're already working on the next round of improvements. Coming soon: wholesale ordering for businesses who want to stock Clever Cookie products, corporate gifting options for companies looking to treat their teams or clients, and occasion reminders to make it easier than ever to send gifts to your loved ones.

We're also working on set cookie boxes for those who'd rather pick from curated selections, and bakery collection for local customers who want to skip delivery and pick up their order in person. The site will keep evolving based on what our customers tell us they want.
